About this workshop

Many don’t have an in-depth knowledge of accounting or a head for numbers, yet their individual responsibilities often incorporate budget development and understanding of how the performance of their department or program impacts on the whole organisation.

Learning how to read and understand the figures presented in financial reports through this workshop, will equip your leaders with the knowledge they require to make better informed future decisions.

What you will learn

Following the program participants will be able to:

  • Contribute to variance reporting and forecasting
  • Develop budgets for the financial year and new programs

  • Link the strategic plan to the budget and financial reports
  • Understand the financial controls required to protect the organisation

What’s involved?

This program is designed for people without accountancy training so steers away from technical terminology so it’s easy to understand. Handouts will assist to work through financial reporting examples and checklists for budget development and program formulas. Organisational financial report examples can be incorporated into in-house programs.
