Tailored online leadership training for non-profit organisations delivered online or onsite.

Delivered over two days this leadership program for non-profit leaders will focus on the expectations of leaders in the not for profit sector and provide them with practical skills to be an effective leader. It will help them to effectively lead and inspire their teams by building strong relationships, leading by example, managing growth and conflict, and effectively handling the changes that are constantly affecting the NFP sector.

What you will learn


Leadership training program – day 1: Understanding myself as a leader

We cannot effectively lead others until we effectively lead ourselves!
Using the power of a personality profiling tool, for each participant will help the new managers to understand about their own behavioural and communication styles. The benefit is to enable participants to build stronger, more effective relationships with their team, their clients and those working around them.

Topics include:

  • Refining what leadership means to you
  • Understanding behavioural styles to enhance your effectiveness
  • Clarifying the values that drive behaviours
  • The value of emotional intelligence in leadership
  • Establishing ‘personal brand’ through culture and role modelling
  • Walking through the peer door

Leadership training program – day 2: Managing people and performance

This session will build further on the role of the leader with an emphasis on creating a supportive and united workplace culture. It focuses more specifically on the skills required to manage their team through change and setting realistic goals for the future. It will also provide participants with the capability to identify potential issues of conflict and provide strategies for difficult conversations.

Topics include:

  • Creating a positive workplace culture
  • Setting expectations for your team
  • Managing conflict and dealing with issues in a timely manner
  • Knowing how to provide feedback and have difficult conversations
  • Developing and using structures and frameworks for leadership
