About our risk management training for non profit organisations
Tailored online or on-site delivered risk management training for non-profit organisations, associations and charities.
Running a non-profit organisation can be incredibly rewarding but it also comes with its share of responsibilities and risks. From legal responsibilities to financial challenges, it’s crucial to have strategies in place to protect your non profit’s purpose, assets, and reputation.
NPT’s Red Flag training focuses on building the knowledge of the Board members so they can identify risks and what’s important to narrow in on when things don’t seem right. It will take Board members through a framework that will assist them in undertaking financial due diligence and carrying out their governance duties.
Taking the Board through this process will help them to be on top of risks, by knowing how and what to evaluate, and when further action is required. It will provide a roadmap to mitigate risk in governance and finance and will assist in safeguarding your organisation and improving long-term resilience.
Risk management training delivery method and duration
Our risk management: red flags training can be delivered in-house as one training session, two shorter training sessions, or a training program that includes facilitator-led workshops and follow-up learning videos to help reinforce course content and provide long-term, on-demand learning for the Board members.
Facilitator-led workshops
The facilitator-led training component of the red flag program will introduce and explain key risk information, allowing attendees to ask questions and explore where things can go wrong. They can be presented as either:

Self-led training
NPT’s learning bytes, provide post-program, self-led learning videos, focussed on the ‘how to’ in mitigating risk for non-profit organisations. The videos incorporate step-by-step examples helping to explain how to identify potential issues and suggested solutions to address specific issues across key governance and finance areas.
